Feb 6 - The dam gate is currently open half way and the lake has lowered significantly.  The lake level will continue to be monitored until the storm has passed and the runoff from upstream has been assessed. Call 703-792-7480 for the latest information or to leave a message regarding the dam. 

Lake Jackson is a small community located in Northern Virginia's Prince William County, approximately 30 miles from Washington D.C.. This 800 acre community surrounds a 12 mile long lake formed by the damming of a branch of the Occoquan River.

This "unofficial" website is intended to serve as an information source and discussion area for the residents of the Lake Jackson community. It is not associated with or sanctioned by any official Lake Jackson organization.

This site includes a number of information areas, a photo gallery, a community calendar of events, and a discussion forum. The monthly crime report is provided in the Neighborhood Watch section under Organizations. It will be updated as new reports are available. The Heron Newsletter will be provided in the Citizens Association section under Organizations.
